Gokhan Yaman is a Mechanical engineer, Welding Technologist and Senior Welding inspector, who was born in Giresun/Turkey, 1975 and he moved to Kocaeli with his family for his education in 1981.
Gokhan Yaman started his professional journey in Ankara, 1997 and travelled seven overseas countries with more than 16 international medium/large scale multi-million-dollar Oil&Gas, LNG, environmental projects successfully completed. He had opportunity working with multicultural and multi-national environments which gave him the working experience within world class projects.
He married in 2008 and they had their first child in Qatar, year of 2012, second children in Taiwan, 2013 and third children in Qatar, 2014. He travelled to many countries with his family for pleasure and business those were such countries as: Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Sakhalin Island, Azerbaijan, Germany, Vietnam, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Taiwan, UAE, Thailand, Maldives, United Kingdom.
He interested in international water/waste water treatment construction project since 2010, after successfully completed first drinking water treatment project in 1999. He was employed by Suez since 2010, one of the lead environmental Company having more than 90.000 thousand employees in worldwide.
Professional Educations:
He completed his Primary and Secondary school in Kocaeli. After receiving his education at Gebze industrial High School from 1989 to 1992 in Kocaeli, he graduated from Welding Technology of the department of Vocational High School at Middle East Technical University in 1997, Ankara.
He later completed his bachelor degree on Mechanical Engineering in 2009 at Azerbaijan Technical University, in Azerbaijan.
He has good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point & Outlook), lotus, Basic in AutoCAD
Working Experiences:
Gokhan Yaman has been in his current position as Project closure Manager with Suez at Doha West Sewage Treatment Plant, since July 2020. He leads a team consist of Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Operation and Civil to close the project and handing over the plant to a new O&M Contractor.
He is expert on Quality Assurance & Quality Control, Procurement Quality, Vendor Quality Representative, Prefabrication of Pipe.
Gokhan Yaman has got experiences in the fields of such equipment pressure vessels, Tanks, Steel Structures, project completion, EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction) project, Internal / External audit, NDT (Non-Destructive Test) and DT (Destructive Test) He also had experiences on Welding of various of materials, Welding procedure Specification, Welding procedure Qualification Records, Root Cause Analysis.
He has also experiences on establish and implementation, improvement of ISO 9001 Quality system for new project/organization, Site acceptance test (SAT), Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), Kick of Meeting (KoM), Pre-inspection meeting, material Receiving inspection.
He familiar with global Companies' specifications such as ARAMCO standards, British Petrol Standards, GOST (Russian standards Gosstandart) standards, QCS (Qatar Construction Specifications) 2014 standard. He has deep knowledge with international standards, ASME 31-3, 31-4, 31-8, ASME Sections 2, 5, 8, 9, PFI ES series, API 610, API RP 686, API 560, API 5L, API 1104, AWS D1.1.
He had deep technical and practical experiences on various welding and NDE/DE processes;
Welding processes of Submerged Arc Welding (SAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW).
Welding of various metals; Carbon steels, Stainless Steels, Duplex/Super Duplex Stainless Steels, Aluminum, Alloy steels, casting, HDPE, PVC, GRP, PTFE lined, etc.
Radiographic Test (RT), Ultrasonic Test (UT), Magnetic Particle Test (MPT), Liquid Penetrant Test (LPT), Hardness Test (HT), Tensile Test, CTOD test (Crack Tip Opening Displacement), Ferrite content test.
Training & Certifications:
During project period, he achieved “ISO 9000 Internal Auditor Certificate by Saudi Arab Project Co. Ltd.
He completed his AWS (American Welding Society) training and awarded “Associate Welding Inspector Certificate” in 2000, “Welding Inspector Certificate” in 2001 & 2004 from American Welding Society. He is member of American Welding society, The Welding Institute, Many groups in LinkedIn.
He strengthened his proficiency on Welding and Destructive/Non-Destructive test (DT/NDT) training/certificates awarded as “Welding Inspector Certificate” from The Welding Institute, UK in 2004.
He upgraded his Welding Inspector Certificate to “Senior Welding Inspector Certificate” in 2005 and successfully renewed same Certificate in 2010, 2015, 2021 and next 5 years up to 2026.
